Janice Harland

Janice Harland was 25 jaar onafgebroken actief in de voedingindustrie, waarvan 3 jaar als Director van het onafhankelijk onderzoekstinstituut The Sugar Bureau. In 1998 richtte ze haar eigen bedrijf HarlandHall Associates op dat zich tot doel stelt de wetenschappelijke kennis van voeding en gezondheid naar een ruim publiek te brengen.

Dr.Janice Harland is a qualified nutritionist (PhD, BSc University of Newcastle, RNutr), and has over 25 years of experience in Food & Agriculture businesses and in Nutrition & Health Organizations. HarlandHall Associates was established over 15 years ago and specializes in interrogating the nutrition and health scientific literature to provide an insight into what is known about foods or ingredients and health. She has conducted a number of systematic reviews and meta-analyses for scientific publications including papers published in the scientific literature and in scientific dossiers for submission to the EFSA. Janice is passionate about making the scientific literature work to support nutrition and health claims or products/product development and in making nutritional science accessible to a wider audience. Janice is also a part-time lecturer in Food and Nutrition at the University of Bath, Spa (UK).
